The US Men’s National Team was scheduled to play Ukraine in an international friendly in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on March 5 but the State Department put out a warning on travel to Ukraine and the game was moved to Cyprus. Here in New York, local Ukrainians are playing their favorite sport while keeping a wary eye on their homeland. Gary “Doodles” Di Raffaele, a Yonkers Native, Creates “Breadwinners”, a New Animated Series for Nickelodeon
Nickelodeon’s newest animated series, Breadwinners, which follows two booty-shaking ducks as they operate a bread delivery service out of their awesome, jet-fueled rocket van, was created by Executive Producer Gary "Doodles" Di Raffaele (MAD, Metalocalypse), along with Steve Borst (Teen Titans Go!, MAD). The premiere episode, which debuts Monday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT), along with the brand-new episode airing Saturday, Feb. 22 at 11:00 a.m. (ET/PT). Breadwinners is inspired from elements in Gary and Steve’s personal lives, the series draws from various gaming, internet and music cultures to tell the story of best friends, SwaySway and Buhdeuce.
