The Brooklyn Film Festival’s kidsfilmfest, The Jacob Burns Film Center (JBFC), and kidsfilmfest are sponsoring wonderful, international short animation, live-action and documentary movies you might not see anywhere else! The Brooklyn Film Festival’s kidsfilmfest‘s mission is to discover, expose, and promote children’s filmmakers. All films are tailored for children of all ages (films are rated “G”).
The JBFC is a nonprofit educational and cultural institution dedicated to presenting the best of independent, documentary, and world cinema; promoting 21st century literacy; and making film a vibrant part of the community. And this year, again, they will be bringing some of their family-fun to the Yonkers Film Festival!
With an animation station, stop-motion activities, an interactive coloring station, and more there will be plenty to do for all of our curious and excited visitors! Come and learn about the magic of multimedia storytelling! We’ll have iPads, cameras, and even a special setup for Hollywood-style photo-ops!

YoFi Fest is a film festival that gives adult audiences a chance to watch and talk about new movies and to see new works by emerging artists. Screenings include features, shorts, music videos, animation and student works on all three days. Saturday and Sunday start with movies and workshops for kids in the morning. In the afternoons, along with screenings in two theaters, we’re offering a “mini film school” Each day of screenings is followed by an “after-party” that evening where filmmakers and VIP Pass holders get a chance to talk in a fun and casual setting at some of the best nearby restaurants and lounges. YoFi Fest is easy to get to, fun to hang out at and not to be missed.
