MOUNT VERNON, NY — Starting Monday, October 20, the Friends of the Mount Vernon Public Library will showcase their role as longtime supporters of their community’s essential — and architecturally noted — Library. The Friends, who hope to welcome new members, not only raise funds for Library activities, such as the hugely successful Summer Reading program, but also present original programs, including concerts and live theater. Families are invited to a special event on Saturday, October 25th at 2 pm, featuring singers from Mount Vernon elementary schools, led by Mansa Gory.

The Library is located at 28 South First Avenue, Mount Vernon, NY 10550. Telephone: 914-668-1840.
