Schneiderman_EricDear Attorney General Eric Schneiderman:

Kindly investigate the abuse of influence by Yonkers Councilmember Christopher Johnson in effecting the results of this evening's Yonkers Council President race. Councilmember Johnson instructed his legislative aide, Keisha Skipper, to contact every ward leader and district leader within the City of Yonkers, who reportedly was to vote for Council President candidate, Ivy Reeves, at this evening's 7pm convention at the Ukranian Center, 301 Palisades Avenue, to induce them to change their vote.

"Undue influence"? Legal or Not!

Councilman Johnson Denies Circumstances and Events

YONKERS, NY – May 30, 2013 – Yonkers Tribune, near the Midnight hour  last night learned through credible albeit anonymous sources that Yonkers City Councilman Christopher Johnson (D-District 1) instructed his Legislative Aide Keisha Skipper to depart his office situated on the fourth floor of Yonkers City Hall from his office with his cell phone in hand to her car for the express purpose of sending text messages to Democratic Ward and District Leaders who have been identified to be leaning to vote for or are voting for Ivy Reeves for the ofice of Yonkers City Council President. The strong-arm tactics used by Mr Johnson are allegedly illegal on the basis of his demanding his aide use government issued cellphone equipment for electioneering purposes. Mr Johnson is allegedly using the power of his office to sway and cajole potential votes for Ms Reeves to instead be redirected in support of Michael Rotanelli, another of four people who seek the Democratic Party endorsement.
